Debtor/Creditor/Insolvency

WMCZ is recognized for its work in the bankruptcy and insolvency area. Corporate and personal bankruptcies, bankruptcy proposals, receivership, creditor priority disputes, and foreclosure comprise a significant part of our practice. We have litigated issues in these areas in all levels of the Canadian court system, including the Supreme Court of Canada.

Our practice includes commercial and agricultural debt collection and construction and builders' lien claims. This can involve issuing a claim and obtaining judgment in the Court of Queen's Bench or Small Claims Court.

Effective alternatives to litigation in the debtor/creditor area include mediation and arbitration. Several of our lawyers are trained mediators approved by the Law Society of Saskatchewan.
