Marilyn Penner is a lawyer with
Wallace Meschishnick Clackson
Zawada. She was raised on the
family farm at Choiceland,
Saskatchewan. She received her
Bachelor of Arts with Distinction
from Camrose Lutheran College in
1989. She graduated from the College
of Law, University of Saskatchewan
in 1993 and was admitted to the Bar
in Saskatchewan in February, 1995.
Marilyn's practice includes
family law, labour and employment
law, and general litigation. Marilyn
completed Mediation training in 1996
and has been approved as a Mediator
by the Law Society of Saskatchewan.
She is also a member of the
Collaborative Lawyers Association of
Saskatchewan having completed her
training in the spring of 2002.
Marilyn has presented on family
law topics at various conferences
and seminars for the Saskatchewan
Legal Education Society Inc., the
Canadian Bar Association ("CBA")
Mid-Winter Meeting and the
Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers
Association ("STLA"). She has also
been a volunteer lecturer for the
Public Legal Education Association
of Saskatchewan.
Marilyn is the Program Chair for the
Saskatchewan Legal Education Society
Inc.. She is a Past President of
the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers
Association, having also sat as a
District Governor and Chair of the
Spring Conference Committee. Marilyn
is an active member of the CBA
Family Law North Section and was the
Chair for the section from
2005-2007.
Marilyn's community involvement
includes being a member of Business
Professional Women of Saskatoon. She
also keeps busy outside of work
playing indoor and outdoor soccer
and “running” her two children to
and from their activities. |
