Derrek Fahl is a lawyer with Wallace
Meschishnick Clackson Zawada in
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He was born
and raised in Rosthern,
Saskatchewan. He left Rosthern to
attend post-secondary school,
attending the University of
Saskatchewan, graduating with his
Bachelor of Commerce degree (1993)
and Bachelor of Laws (1994). He was
admitted to the Law Society of
Saskatchewan in 1995.
Derrek's law practice primarily
involves corporate, commercial and
securities law. Particular areas of
emphasis include business sales and
acquisitions, secured lending
transactions, private placements,
exempt share offerings,
incorporations, corporate
reorganizations, shareholder
agreements, retirement compensation
arrangements, and custom-designed
trust, tax and estate planning.
Derrek has been a guest lecturer in
the area of contract law and
corporate management at the
University of Saskatchewan College
of Commerce and has spoken to
several business organizations and
at professional seminars on a
variety of legal topics. In the
past, he has been involved with
Campus Legal Services, the Law
Students’ Association and is a
co-founder of the University of
Saskatchewan College of Law "Kids 'n
Hockey" Program.
Derrek remains active in the hockey
world, coaching initiation hockey in
Rosthern and Senior Mens "AAA"
hockey in Saskatoon. Away from the
office and rink, Derrek is kept busy
by his wife and three young
children. |
