Colin Clackson was born and
raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
He received his post-secondary
education at the University of
Saskatchewan, attaining his Bachelor
of Arts degree in economics in 1980
and his LL.B. in 1983. He was
admitted to the Bar in Alberta in
1984 and the Saskatchewan Bar in
1987. Colin is a lawyer with Wallace
Meschishnick Clackson Zawada in
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Colin practices exclusively in
the Civil Litigation and Insurance
Law areas. He represents a
number of property and casualty
insurance companies from all across
Canada with respect to recovery of
subrogated claims and issues of
policy coverage.
Colin has been a facilitator and
presenter for both the Canadian Bar
Association and Saskatchewan Trial
Lawyers on numerous topics including
litigation practice, personal injury
litigation, environmental litigation
and liability and insurance
coverage.
Colin is Secretary and a Director
the Canadian Defence Lawyers, a
member of the Insurance Law
committee of the Defence Research
Institute, and a member of the CBA
National Insurance Law section. He
has written articles for Saskatchewan Business magazine
and “Non-suit” e-zine on various
insurance topics including punitive
damages, work/product exclusions in
the construction trade, business
interruption, excess auto coverage,
and limitation periods. Colin
belongs to various community
organizations, including the Aurora
Soccer Club and the Honourable Order
of the Blue Goose, Saskatchewan
Pond. |
