 Anne
Wallace, Q.C., was born and raised
in Wilkie, Saskatchewan, and
received her post-secondary
education at the University of
Saskatchewan. She was the gold
medalist in the College of Law,
Class of '83 and was called to the
Saskatchewan Bar in 1984. Anne is a Chartered Arbitrator and
Chartered Mediator. She is
currently Past President of the
Saskatchewan Branch of the Canadian
Bar Association.
Anne's professional work has included administrative law, industrial
relations, employment law,
mediation, arbitration, facilitation
and conflict resolution/mediation
training. She is Senior Adjudicator
under the Indian Residential Schools
Resolution Canada ADR Process. Her legal practice has also
included commercial and insurance
litigation and media law.
Anne has been extensively
involved in continuing legal
education, particularly in dispute
resolution, administrative law and
labour and employment law. She has
been Chair of National Sections
Council of the Canadian Bar
Association, as well as Chair of the
National Continuing Education
Committee. Anne is currently a
member of the International
Development Committee. She is a member of Mediation Saskatchewan,
the ADR Institute of Canada, Inc.,
the National Arbitration Forum and
the Conflict Resolution Network.
In
the community, Anne is a member of
The Saskatoon Club, Friends of the
Huskies, Inc., Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce,
Saskatoon and District Chamber of
Commerce, the Saskatoon Women's
Network, and Women Entrepreneurs of
Saskatchewan Inc.. Anne
is a member of the Board of Trustees
of the Canadian Museum of Nature (www.nature.ca). Anne is
the recipient of the YWCA Women of
Distinction Award for 2005 in the
Professions/Management Category. |
