Jan practices family law and litigation with WMCZ.

Born and raised in Moose Jaw, SK, Jan attended the University of Saskatchewan where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (high honours) and a Master of Arts degree, both in English. She spent a year teaching English as a Sessional Lecturer at the U of S before returning to the role of student. She obtained a Bachelor of Laws (distinction) in 2007.

Jan articled at Calgary Legal Guidance, where she focused on family and criminal law. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 2008, and practiced civil litigation and risk management in the Litigation Department at the City of Calgary. She joined WMCZ and was admitted to the Saskatchewan Bar in August, 2009.

Jan is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the CBA Family Law North Section. She volunteers at CLASSIC legal clinics and as a mentor lawyer to student advocates with CLASSIC.

Outside of work, she enjoys writing and spending time with her family.
