Chad practices primarily in the area of business law with an emphasis on Energy Law and project development but he also has expertise in environmental law, immigration law, debtor/creditor and civil litigation.

Chad provides general counsel to clients but provides specialized advice to renewable energy developers, clean technology companies and carbon credit market participants as well.

He was born and raised on a farm near Watson, Saskatchewan. Prior to joining WMCZ Chad resided for almost seven years in Finland where he worked at a leading Northern European business law firm based in Helsinki.

Chad holds a B.A. from the University of Regina, an LL.B. from the University of Saskatchewan and an LL.M. in contract and commercial law from the University of Helsinki. He was admitted to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2007, Ontario Bar in 2004 and qualified to practice law in Finland in 2003.

Chad is a member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Saskatoon Bar Association, the International Lawyers' Association of Finland, the Finnish-Canadian Business Club, Saskatchewan Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs (SYPE) and the Saskatchewan Environmental Industry and Managers Association (SEIMA).

Chad has published numerous articles and delivered presentations relating to energy law, international business and knowledge management. He also hosts a blog on Renewable Energy law issues.

Chad is an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Saskatchewan Intercultural Association.
